oooh i think i prefer the colour version, the green is so vibrant and backlighting makes it pop out

A magnificent tree indeed. I think a tree deserves the verdant green capture. (The elm mentioned by TheTramWalker is a city treasure).

Really interesting kind of almost-symmetry. I actually like both versions: on the b&w the highlights are less dominating, but as others have said, the tree cries out for green-ness. Is it a banyan? I know it's the wrong part of the world for them ...
